The month of October was a perfect one for FC Barcelona, both on and off the pitch.
From securing important victories against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to Lamine Yamal winning the Kopa Trophy and Aitana Bonmati once again winning the Women’s Ballon d’Or, things went brilliantly for the Catalan club.
On top of that, Hansi Flick was named the La Liga Coach of the Month for October again while Pedri won the La Liga Under-23 Player of the Month.
To top things off, Robert Lewandowski has been named the La Liga Player of the Month for October, completing a hat-trick of awards for Barcelona.
The 36-year-old superstar had a month to remember as he scored seven goals in three league games this month – a hat-trick against Deportivo Alaves and two braces against Sevilla and Real Madrid.
In the process, Lewandowski took his goal tally in La Liga to 14, double the number of goals scored by the next best on the list – Ayoze Perez (7).
As such, the Poland captain beat the likes of Vinicius Jr., Alex Berenguer, Antoine Griezmann, and Mikel Oyarzabal for the prize.
Interestingly, this means that Barcelona have now won the Player of the Month award in La Liga for three months in a row, with Raphinha in August, Lamine Yamal in September and now Lewandowski.
