Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially announced the arrival of Emmanuel Agbadou (27) from Stade de Reims.
The Ivorian international joins the club on a four-and-a-half-year deal with an option for a further year. The defender has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons in the top flight of French football with Reims where he became a key player under Will Still and current head coach Luka Elsner.
Agbadou arrives after Wolves had their efforts to secure Kevin Danso (26) from RC Lens rebuffed by the player, with it being reported that the Premier League side paid Reims €18 million with an additional €2 million in add-ons for the defender.
Agbadou joins a club searching for an escape from near the bottom of the table. Wolves are currently sat above the relegation zone but level on points with Ipswich Town in 18th place (their superior goal difference currently keeping them away from the drop).
