Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that OH Leuven have denied reaching an agreement with West Ham over the transfer of teenage midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi. The 19-year-old, who has been heavily linked with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco this window, has had an impressive season so far. However, while there have been reports that OH Leuven and West Ham are in agreement over a sale, the Belgian club have denied that this is the case. While the Premier League side certainly made an offer for Banzuzi, it was too low for OH Leuven.

Dutch youngster Banzuzi joined OH Leuven two seasons ago from NAC Breda in the Netherlands, He had made 59 appearances for the side in the Dutch second tier, scoring seven goals. The Dutch youth international played 40 games in his debut season for OH Leuven, scoring three times. While he showed glimpses of his potential, his performances this year have been impressive. In 23 games for the side he has scored twice and assisted five times. Clearly OH Leuven, who are currently in a relegation battle, do not want to lose a star player in January.
