An injury has caused a change of plan for the Derby della Capitale on Sunday, as Marco Guida will no longer referee Roma vs. Lazio, the whistle going to Luca Pairetto.
The showdown kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 19.45 GMT.
The Lega Serie A had initially appointed Guida to officiate the big match of the Week 19 fixture list.

However, it was revealed today that Guida has sustained an injury and will not be able to take the reins of this game in the Eternal City.
Instead, Pairetto has been promoted from the role of fourth official to referee.
It would seem as if Guida’s injury is a serious one, because Daniele Chiffi is drafted in to act as fourth official rather than the traditional exchange of roles.
This will not be the first Derby della Capitale for Pairetto, who already oversaw the 2-0 Roma victory in May 2021.
He has a history of issues with Roma, most notably when Jose Mourinho accused Juventus of “sending” him.
The VAR team remains intact, with Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni assisted in the booth by Ivan Pezzuto.
