Palmeiras are making a determined push to secure the signing of Barcelona loanee Vitor Roque and are not willing to wait until the final moments of the Brazilian transfer window to finalise the deal.
According to SPORT, the club is moving swiftly, aiming to reach an agreement with the forward’s representatives in the coming hours, with a five-year contract already prepared.
Their objective is to complete the transfer by next Monday at the latest, avoiding any last-minute complications before the Brazilian window closes on 28 February.
After weeks of negotiations, Palmeiras now believe Roque’s arrival is a real possibility, and Barcelona are open to selling him on a permanent basis.
The Brazilian club has spent over three weeks working on this complex deal, but the breakthrough came when Roque himself showed a willingness to consider their sporting and financial proposal.
With this progress, Palmeiras have already begun official discussions with Barcelona to finalise the structure of the deal and agree on financial terms.

One of the main hurdles remains Real Betis, as they must agree to terminate Roque’s loan spell early. While Betis were initially hesitant, the strong relationship between them and Barcelona keeps the option on the table.
Given their history of loan collaborations, both clubs could continue working together in the future, either through further loan deals or shared player rights.
For Roque, the most important factor is being part of a competitive project capable of winning major honours.
Talks have been progressing positively, and there is growing optimism that an agreement can be reached.
The potential transfer could take place as a paid loan with a mandatory purchase clause set at €25 million, or as a direct transfer worth around €27 million, including fixed and variable payments.
Regardless of the structure, Barcelona intend to retain 20% of any future sale, recognising Roque’s young age and the likelihood of him returning to European football in the future.
With Betis being the final hurdle to clear, Palmeiras are pushing to get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
