Paris Saint-Germain are favoring pursuing young talent that have yet to hit their potential. Over the last few transfer windows, the capital club have signed primarily teenagers and those in their early 20s.
As a result, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these young players winning individual awards. This year’s Golden Boy Award could see some PSG players vying for the honor later this year.
Last summer, the Ligue 1 side opted to sign Désiré Doué from Stade Rennais. The Parisians looked within France’s top flight to secure a prominent young talent and their decision is paying off in Year 1.

Doué has appeared in 29 matches across all competitions for PSG so far this season, scoring four goals and recording eight assists. This production has led Score 90 to rank the Frenchman as the second favorite behind FC Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsí for the Golden Boy Award.
Right behind Doué is another PSG player, Warren Zaïre-Emery. The 18-year-old has appeared in 29 total matches while scoring three goals and recording one assist.
The other two players rounding out the top five for the Golden Boy Award are Juventus’ Kenan Yıldız and Real Madrid’s Arda Güler.
It will be interesting to see if Doué or Zaïre-Emery can end the 2024-25 season on a high note that allows them to leap over Cubarsí and be the favorite for the award.
