Vitinha was UEFA’s MVP for PSG-Arsenal on Tuesday, but the Portugal international gave the award to Italy star Donnarumma.
Portuguese midfielder picked Italy captain Donnarumma as the MOTM in PSG’s away win at Arsenal on Tuesday.
UEFA picked Vitinha as the best player on the pitch at the Emirates last night, but the 25-year-old handed the award to his teammate.
Vitinha shared an Instagram story alongside Donnarumma and the MVP award from the PSG dressing room after the match, writing, ‘The real MVP.’
Donnarumma earned praise from the Italian media after the game and was named MOTM by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Even Italy and Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta praised Donnarumma after last night’s performance in London.
“The French say that Donnarumma isn’t the best when he has to come off his line; perhaps they are right,” Costacurta said.
“However, they forget to say that he’s the best in the world at everything else. He made two incredible saves.”
