This incredible form has not only made him the top scorer in La Liga, with 10 goals in 9 matches but also left Barcelona fans in awe. His performances have surprised the public in Poland as well, who are thrilled with their national hero’s continued success.

As Lewandowski gears up for the upcoming Nations League matches in Warsaw, where Poland will face Portugal and Croatia, there are high hopes for his contributions to the team.

Polish media outlets are linking his outstanding form directly to his reunion with Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, who also managed him during a highly successful period at Bayern Munich.

As reported by Wyborcza/Sport PL (h/t Mundo Deportivo), “Flick signed for Barcelona and is bringing out the best in Lewandowski once again.”

Under Flick, Lewandowski has thrived like never before. The Polish media point out that even during his time at Bayern, he scored more goals under Flick than under other top coaches such as Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, and Julian Nagelsmann.

“Flick builds teams in which Lewandowski feels comfortable. The German says that Barcelona is a different team today to his Bayern, but there are similarities.

“It is a direct game, fast actions, great involvement of the wingers, good physical preparation, high pressing and hunger for more goals,” they said.

They also note how Flick’s teams are physically well-prepared, press high up the pitch, and constantly hunger for more goals, allowing Lewandowski to excel.

“Everyone should find their own Hansi Flick,” one Polish outlet joked, emphasising the unique bond between Flick and Lewandowski.

According to them, no other coach understands and enhances Lewandowski’s abilities quite like Flick does.

More praise for the duo

Polish news outlet Fakt also pointed out that Lewandowski’s fitness is causing concern among their upcoming opponents, particularly because of how sharp he has looked for Barcelona this season.

Even Jan Tomaszewski, a legendary Polish goalkeeper from the 1974 World Cup, has acknowledged Flick’s impact on Lewandowski’s form.

Tomaszewski, who has previously been critical of Lewandowski, praised the German manager for changing Lewandowski’s role on the pitch.

“Since Flick came to Barcelona, he changed Lewandowski’s way of playing, he moved him away from the centre of the pitch and now there are results,” he said.

He pointed out that Flick has moved Lewandowski away from the centre of the field, allowing him more opportunities to find goal-scoring positions.

“Robert can shoot and find himself in goal-scoring situations. He is the best in the world at this,” Tomaszewski told Super Express, agreeing with Flick’s assessment of the player.

After Lewandowski’s stunning hat trick against Alavés, Flick echoed similar sentiments, describing the Polish striker as “the best in the box, just like the one I worked with at Munich.”
