Reeling on the back of a crushing 4-0 defeat against Atalanta, Juventus will aim to return to winning ways when they face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

After bowing out of the Champions League by losing to PSV Eindhoven on aggregate, Juventus hoped to keep their faint Serie A title race alive. However, they were beaten at Turin for the first time since 1967 by four goals as strikes from Mateo Retegui, Marten de Roon, Davide Zappacosta and Ademola Lookman drowned the Bianconeri.

The pressure is on Thiago Motta now as Juventus are on the brink of losing out on a top-four spot with Lazio and Bologna closing in. Juventus have lost just one of their last eight fixtures against Fiorentina and they will bank on that record to overcome their opposition tonight.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina’s last match left them in jubilant mood as they overcame a deficit on aggregate versus Panathinaikos to reach the Conference League quarter-finals. Rolando Mandragora, Albert Gudmundsson and Moise Kean led the spirited comeback as the Viola remain in firm contention for European glory this season.

Despite their European exploits, Rafaelle Palladino’s men have failed to impress in the league this season but they can still manage a Conference League or Europa League spot if they register couple of favourable results in the next few games.
