A recent report from SPORT has revealed that Real Betis are keen on securing the services of Barcelona forward Ansu Fati on a loan deal.
The Spanish international, once regarded as one of the brightest prospects, appears to be edging closer to an exit from the Catalan giants and this emerges through Barcelona’s financial constraints, particularly their efforts to comply with La Liga’s 1:1 cap rule.
According to the outlet, Betis are optimistic about the proposal made by Barcelona to loan Ansu for the next six months. However, the final decision rests with the player, who must determine his next move before the transfer window closes.
While Ansu was initially hesitant to leave the Blaugrana, his limited opportunities at the club have forced him to reconsider.
Although Betis are a strong option, he reportedly has other offers from clubs within La Liga, adding complexity to his decision-making process.
This season has been particularly challenging for the young forward. After returning from a loan spell at Brighton, Ansu hoped to revive his career under new coach Hansi Flick.

Unfortunately, his pre-season preparation was disrupted by a foot injury, followed by two subsequent muscle problems.
These setbacks have significantly limited his playing time, leaving both Ansu and Barcelona’s management concerned about his development.
Barcelona and Betis share a positive working relationship, having collaborated on several player deals in recent years. Notable examples include the loan of Vitor Roque, as well as transfers involving players like Chadi Riad, Juan Miranda, and Ez Abde.
This history of cooperation makes Betis a favourable destination for Ansu, with Manuel Pellegrini also open to integrating him into the squad.
Meanwhile, the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been actively exploring potential options. Apart from Betis, clubs like Girona and Valencia have also shown interest.
However, any deal will likely require Barcelona to cover a significant portion of Ansu’s wages. The main objective for all parties involved is to provide him with consistent playing time and an opportunity to regain his form and confidence.
