Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is on the path to regaining his pre-injury form, and the club is eager for his complete recovery as they look ahead to the Club World Cup.
In fact, according to AS, Real Madrid feel Ceballos has been progressing well after spending over a month and a half on the sidelines due to injury, and his return has crucial for Madrid’s midfield.
Before his injury during the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal first leg, Ceballos had been performing at an exceptionally high level, quickly becoming an indispensable player in the team.
His absence left a noticeable gap in the midfield, and the club has been anxiously awaiting his return. Although he is back in action, he is still working towards regaining the sharpness and consistency he showed earlier in the season.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has been cautious with Ceballos’ return, giving him a few minutes in matches against Alaves and Arsenal, with a starting spot in the game against Athletic Bilbao.
This careful approach was designed with the Copa del Rey final in mind, ensuring Ceballos would be in top form for one of the most important fixtures of the season.
With the current injury woes in the squad, especially Eduardo Camavinga’s injury and the need for Aurelien Tchouameni to help solidify the defence, Ceballos’ role in the final stretch of La Liga is becoming more important.
However, his ultimate goal is to regain the form he had before his injury and fight for a starting spot in the Club World Cup.
As the team’s injury situation normalises, Ceballos will need to prove himself once again as a key player in Madrid’s midfield. His performances in the final weeks of La Liga will likely determine his role in the team during the Club World Cup and beyond.
