The excellence of two members of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid when it comes to passing the ball this season has been summed up by a head-turning statistical graph.

Real, of course, are fresh off a dominant victory on the continent on Wednesday night.

After welcoming RB Salzburg to the Santiago Bernabéu, Los Blancos ran riot in the final third, to the tune of an eventual 5-1 triumph.

Featuring from the off for Carlo Ancelotti’s troops in the middle of the park were both Dani Ceballos, and Luka Modrić.

And it is the same pairing who, as alluded to above, have managed to dominate on the domestic front across the season to date, too.

Whilst neither is considered first-choice when all of Real Madrid’s midfield options are fit and available, Ceballos and Modrić are, respectively, the leading two players in accurate passes-per-90 in La Liga in 2024/25.
