Real Madrid, in the recent past, have been home to talented full-backs, who have managed to establish themselves as stars after leaving Santiago Bernabeu.
An excellent case in point is Achraf Hakimi, who is regarded as one of the best right-backs in Europe. However, another player who has followed a similar trajectory is Theo Hernandez.
Formerly of Atletico Madrid youth academy, Hernandez played for Real Madrid between 2017 to 2019, before leaving the club permanently, in favour of a €22.8 million move to AC Milan.
Since then, Hernandez has established himself as a key pillar of the Milan defence, featuring in almost 250 competitive matches for the club.
If reports from TeamTalk are to be believed, it appears Real Madrid have not lost sight of their former player and are plotting a move for Theo Hernandez this summer.
A left-back by trade, Hernandez is regarded highly due to his ability to make marauding runs on the flank, which is coupled with his athleticism and work-ethic.

Real Madrid are well aware of Hernandez’s qualities while his experience makes him an even better option for the club.
Real Madrid’s potential desire to re-sign the AC Milan star could stem from the fact the club’s recent failure in the pursuit of Alphonso Davies.
The Canadian international has been one of Real Madrid’s top targets for quite some time, but the player has now renewed his contract at Bayern Munich.
Davies’ rejection has prompted Real Madrid to look for other alternatives in the market, with the club also being linked with a move for Benfica’s emerging star Alvaro Carreras.
But Theo Hernandez could be a safer pick given his proven track record of performing at the highest level as well as his familiarity with La Liga.
AC Milan, though, won’t make it easy for Real Madrid to sign their star full-back, who still has a contract until 2026.
