Once Chelsea were giving good competition to the table-toppers Liverpool for the Premier League title. However, their train has derailed in the last 30 days or so. They haven’t registered a victory and are struggling badly.

The Blues have their next game lined up against Morecambe in the FA Cup 3rd round. It will be a good opportunity for Enzo Maresca’s side to get back into winning ways. However, they cannot commit the mistake of underestimating the opponents.

Expect Filip Jorgensen to be the man with gloves for the Blues instead of Robert Sanchez. Reece James could be back in action as the right-back but is unlikely to play the entire 90 minutes.

Josh Acheampong should be used once again at the heart of the defence. However, Tosin Adarabioyo is the name that will partner him in place of Levi Colwill. No place for Marc Cucurella as Ben Chilwell gets his first start of the season.

Midfield

No duties for Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo as Renato Veiga are Carney Chukwuemeka likely to be deployed by the manager Enzo Maresca in the middle of the park.

Attack

While Noni Madueke is operating on the right flank, Joao Felix takes care of the left wing. Interestingly, Christopher Nkunku takes the central role of Cole Palmer for this fixture

While Marc Guiu is leading the attacking pack, Deivid Washington could be used in the latter stages of the game.

Wesley Fofana (hamstring), Omari Kellyman (hamstring), Mykhaylo Mudryk (suspended), Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (unspecified) and Benoit Badiashile (thigh) are all unavailable for this game due to the mentioned reasons.
