Tottenham are keen on a potential move to re-sign Kyle Walker-Peters this summer, but a number of other Premier League clubs are also considering him.

Sources with a close understanding of the situation have informed CaughtOffside that Spurs are showing the strongest interest in Walker-Peters for the moment.

The 28-year-old will be out of contract this summer after declining to sign a new deal with Southampton, and this has put a host of clubs on alert.

As well as Tottenham, it is also understood that Chelsea are another big name monitoring Walker-Peters‘ situation, as well as West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Walker-Peters has been a key player for the Saints, even if they’d had a pretty miserable season in the Premier League, and he makes sense as a tempting option on a free transfer.

Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer looks like one to watch for this summer

While nothing has been decided yet, it’s anticipated that formal approaches for Walker-Peters could come soon, with Spurs likely to make an effort to bring the England international back.

Walker-Peters would bring plenty of experience to this youthful THFC side, and one imagines he might be keen to come back and prove some people wrong at his former club.

Still, Chelsea would also surely be a tempting option for the player, with the Blues more likely to be able to offer European football next season.

However, if Walker-Peters wants to play regular first-team football then a return to Tottenham would probably be his best bet as there’d be a lot more competition at Chelsea.

It will be interesting to see if others like West Ham also step up their efforts to sign Walker-Peters in the coming weeks and months.
