Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski on Sunday secured for himself a place in an altogether exclusive three-man club.

This comes owing to his exploits in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla.

En route to an eventual 5-1 drubbing of García Pimienta’s side in Catalunya’s capital, Lewandowski was on target to the tune of a brace.

As much took the Pole’s tally for the campaign to a hugely impressive 12 goals, across 10 La Liga appearances.

Not only that, though, it also ensured that Lewandowski continued to etch his name indellibly into the history books of European football.

As revealed by ESPN:

‘Robert Lewandowski has now moved into third all-time in career goals in Europe’s top 5 leagues.’

With a haul of 366 goals to his name, Barcelona’s veteran striker trails only the two greatest players in the modern era in the charts, Cristiano Ronaldo in 2nd with 495 goals, and Lionel Messi one ahead on 496.
