There is a great sense of strength and confidence floating around at FC Barcelona these days. Even before the recent set of games against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, La Blaugrana have looked strong this season. However, once Barcelona got to play those two matches, everything changed even more drastically.
First came the game against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, and it gave the Bavarian giants possibly one of their most embarrassing nights in the competition. By thrashing them 4-1, Barcelona sent Vincent Kompany back to Germany with a lot to think about.
Right afterward, Barcelona took on Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in a La Liga clash. This time around, there was yet another demolition that took place, only this time Los Blancos failed to score a single goal. With the game ending 4-0 and Barcelona moving six points clear at the top of the table, there were a lot of positives to go over.
However, perhaps the most concrete and evident of those positives is the immense team spirit that can be seen developing within Hansi Flick’s Barcelona. Through the existence of this kind of team spirit and strong connection within the squad, this Barça side has been able to be as dominant as they have been so far this season.
Now, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, there is yet another update that highlights how closely knit this team really is. Ronald Araujo, one of the team’s captains and a key defender for the team, has recently invited his team to join him for a meal after their training session on Wednesday.
Small gestures like this may not be as prominent as a team celebrating a goal together during a big game, but they go on to show just how valuable each and every detail is. As both a captain of the team and a star player for Barcelona, such a gesture from Araujo only further strengthens the team’s bond.
On a more personal level, however, Araujo continues his recovery in order to ensure his swift return to the pitch. After having suffered a muscular problem back during the Copa America, he is now back to training individually and it would appear that the Barcelona defender could end up making his official return at some point during November.
