United staff had been told they could pay for two tickets for friends and family
Ruben Amorim will pay for 30 members of his backroom staff at Manchester United to attend the Europa League final with their families.
United will face Tottenham on May 21 in Bilbao as both sides look to salvage silverware and Champions League qualification from an otherwise miserable season.
Each club have been given an allocation of around 15,000 for the final, though reports suggest as many Spurs fans will travel to the city without tickets.
According to ESPN, United have continued the cost-cutting measures that have been a feature of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era, and have made two tickets to the match available for staff to purchase.
However, it is said that Amorim has stepped in after hearing his staff would have to pay, and will instead personally cover the cost for his coaches and physios to bring up to two members of family or friends.
Reports earlier this week revealed that staff at United would be invited to a screening of the final in Manchester, where they could bring a plus-one. Members of staff will be given two free drinks, but guests must pay for their own.
That is in contrast to Spurs, who are set to offer a complimentary ticket to the match to every one of their 700 full-time employees.
United have said that their priority is maximising the number of tickets available to fans.
The club will not hold a bus parade if they beat Spurs in the final, instead having more low-key plans for a barbecue at their Carrington training ground the following day.
It has also been decided that United will not hold an end of season players’ awards night for the second year in a row.
