Ruben Amorim tells Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has told Alejandro Garnacho he is not part of his plans at the club, according to Tier 1 reporter David Ornstein.
Garnacho was unhappy about being left out of United’s starting XI to face Spurs in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
Both he and his brother took to social media to criticise the decision.
And according to Ornstein, “Amorim has informed his Manchester United squad he will remain in charge next season — while telling Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club.
“Sources with knowledge of the matter, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, indicate Amorim addressed players at the club’s Carrington training ground on Saturday to inform them of his own plans and of those for Garnacho.
“Manchester United treat dressing room matters as private and declined to comment.”
Garnacho fell foul of Amorim in December, when both he and Marcus Rashford were left out of the squad to face Manchester City, apparently due to training effort and/or attitudes.
But while Rashford refused to buckle down and asked to leave the club, Garnacho seemed to take up the gauntlet and has become a mainstay in the first team, his superb performances only marred by profligate finishing.
However, still only 20 years of age, the Argentine is viewed by many as having the potential to become world class and his exclusion in favour of Mason Mount on Wednesday left many fans scratching their heads.
It is reasonable to read between the lines and conclude that the young star’s reaction to the Europa final decision crossed a line and left Amorim feeling he had no alternative but to let him go.
With plenty of interest from Premier League, La Liga and Saudi Arabian clubs and Garnacho himself reportedly targeting a move to Real Madrid, United would have been hoping for a healthy bidding war to develop before deciding whether to cash in on their protégé.
Unfortunately, their position will be weakened by the rift between player and coach being made public and they will be lucky now to get top dollar for the youngster.
