Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini may rotate some players from their recent 2-1 defeat in the Champions League, as La Dea look to continue their chase of Napoli and Inter by beating Cagliari at home.

It kicks off at 15:00 CET (14:00 GMT) at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

Sead Kolasinac is still sidelined, along with long-term injured Odilon Kossounou and Giorgio Scalvini, meaning the remaining available defenders, Rafael Toloi, Isak Hien, and Berat Djimsiti, will form the Nerazzurri’s back three.

Gasperini is considering starting Lazar Samardzic and Juan Cuadrado to rest Ederson and Raoul Bellanova with a view to his side’s return leg against Club Brugge next week.

However, the coach will keep his attack unchanged, with Mateo Retegui and Charles De Ketelaere tasked with providing the goals La Dea need, especially during a weekend where they may have a chance to close in on at least one of the Scudetto contenders, as four of the top five teams in the Serie A table face each other.
