Shaw hits City century | OneFootball

Congratulations to Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, who has become the latest City player to make 100 appearances for the Club.

The Jamaican reached the century when she came off the bench in the Blues’ Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Arsenal.

Our record goalscorer, Shaw has found the net 86 times in those 100 appearances, also being named the Club’s Player of the Year in each of the last two seasons.

Joining City in 2021 from Bordeaux, the forward helped Gareth Taylor’s side win the League Cup the following March, scoring 19 goals in her debut season.

It was the following campaign, though, where Shaw really hit her stride, scoring 31 goals in 30 matches to break the Club’s single-season goal record.

The Jamaican found the net another 22 times in 25 appearances in 2023/24, claiming the WSL Golden Boot in the process alongside a swathe of individual awards, including the PFA, FWA and WSL Player of the Year.

She leads the WSL scoring charts once again this season with nine strikes to her name so far and 14 in all competitions.

Shaw is the 19th City player to reach 100 appearances and just the sixth in the current squad.
