Here is how they got on…

Heung-Min Son captained South Korea and played almost the entirety of their two World Cup qualifiers. The results were slightly disappointing, as they drew 1-1 at home in both games against Oman and Jordan. Despite this, they remain unbeaten in the qualification stage and Son earned man of the match with an assist in their second match before being taken off very late in the game.

Son was joined on international duty by Yang Min-Hyeok, one of Tottenham’s January signings. The 18-year-old made his senior debut coming of the bench at half-time in the draw with Jordan. He is yet to feature for Spurs and has been out on loan to QPR.

Cristian Romero played every minute for Argentina in both of their World Cup qualifiers. The first match was a 1-0 victory over Uruguay and that was followed by a huge 4-1 win against Brazil. Romero was at fault for Brazil’s goal, as the defender gave up possession cheaply in a dangerous area. However his blushes were spared, as his error did not prevent his country from recording a memorable victory.

Destiny Udogie played every minute for Italy in the international break. The full-back was joined by Guglielmo Vicario who was an unused substitute in both of their games. The goalkeeper watched on as his nation suffered defeat to Germany in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals.

Yves Bissouma started and provided two assists for Mali as they beat Comoros 3-0. The midfielder also played the full 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw with the Central African Republic.

Lucas Bergvall was called up to Sweden’s national team. However, the midfielder was not fit to feature in either of their matches. Fortunately for Tottenham, his absence was due to sickness and not a serious injury.

Although Dominic Solanke was selected in Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, he was left disappointed as he did not get on the pitch in either game. It was Spurs’ former striker Harry Kane who started up front and scored in both of England’s matches.

Welsh duo Brennan Johnson and Ben Davies started twice for their country. They defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 at home, before drawing 1-1 away against North Macedonia. Davies was man of the match in the first game, scoring and assisting from centre-back.

Pedro Porro played the full 90 minutes for Spain in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final with the Netherlands. The full-back also came off the bench in the second leg, as his country prevailed in a penalty shootout.

Rodrigo Bentancur played every minute for Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay during this international break. They lost 1-0 at home to Argentina before drawing 0-0 away at high altitude against Bolivia.

Pape Matar Sarr represented Sengal in their World Cup qualifiers. He played 45 minute off the bench in a 0-0 draw with Sudan. The midfielder then started and scored in a 2-0 victory over Togo.

Tottenham’s Wilson Odobert and January loan signing Mathys Tel joined up with France’s U21 side. Odobert provided two assists in their 5-3 victory over England U21s with Tel featuring off the bench for 24 minutes. Tel then started and scored twice in a 4-0 demolition of Slovakia U21s, where Odobert was an unused substitute.

Archie Gray was with the England U21s and faced off against Tel in their first match. The defender played the last 12 minutes, where he had to mark his Spurs teammate. Gray started in England U21’s second match, playing 71 minutes of their 4-2 victory over Portugal U21s.

Tottenham youngsters Mikey Moore and Dane Scarlett were also called up to England’s youth ranks. Moore played twice and assisted for the U19s, whilst Scarlett scored for the U20s.
