Stefano Pioli’s spell in Saudi Arabia is about to end after less than a year.

The former AC Milan coach, who last September signed a two-year contract with an option for a third year with Al Nassr, is one step away from being fired.

The decision is said to have come after the club was eliminated from the Asian Champions League by Kawasaki Frontale.

Journalist Mutaib Al-Hazza reports that Pioli will not be at the helm of Al Nassr next season.

The Saudi club’s management is said to be ready to turn the page.

In the meantime, Roma are carefully monitoring the situation: the Italian coach is among the profiles being evaluated to replace Claudio Ranieri, who will leave the bench at the end of the season.

In addition to Pioli, Francesco Farioli and Cesc Fàbregas are also in the running for the Giallorossi bench.
