A head-turning statistic has come to the fore online in the aftermath of Barcelona’s meeting with Inter Milan this evening.
This comes amid confirmation that Frenkie de Jong created more goalscoring opportunities than any other Barca player in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.
Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana are of course fresh off playing their part in a pulsating affair.
After welcoming Italian champions Inter to Catalunya’s capital, Barcelona recovered from two goals down, to ultimately battle their way to a 3-3 stalemate.
A number of the hosts’ stars shone over the course of the 90 minutes, from Lamine Yamal to Pedri and Frenkie de Jong.
It may nevertheless come as a surprise to hear, though, that it was the latter of this trio who carved out the most chances in front of goal against Inter.
As per statisticians StatMuse, De Jong was responsible for creating three chances on Wednesday, one more than all of Lamine, Raphinha, and Dani Olmo.
