West Ham are understood to be considering approaching UEFA over the deal that saw Eli Junior Kroupi go to Bournemouth.
The prolific 18 year old striker, who is currently with Lorient until the end of the season, then heads to Bournemouth in a deal with around £10m – despite West Ham agreeing a £35m package with the French club.
The bizarre shift from the player close to signing a deal to head to east London, then end up going to Bournemouth for £25m cheaper has more than raised eyebrows.
In fact, the situation has West Ham seriously looking into raising a complaint to UEFA, with it now evident that Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has stakes in Lorient also – so a deal could well be in breach of UEFA rules of 3rd party interest.
West Ham are understood to be quite rightly furious on missing out on the highly rated player, in a deal that is very suspicious and needs further investigating.
