Tomáš Suslov has credited Hellas Verona’s supporters for their unwavering backing during a season he described as demanding and marked by frequent setbacks. Reflecting on the club’s Serie A survival, the Slovakian attacking midfielder took to Instagram to thank the fans: “We thank our supporters for their backing even in the difficult moments. Forza Hellas.”
The 2024-25 campaign forced Verona to navigate a string of obstacles both on and off the pitch, often leaving the squad under pressure. While results did not always go Verona’s way, unity within the group and perseverance proved crucial in seeing them through to safety. Suslov underlined the sense of collective resilience required, noting the team had still accomplished its main target: “It was a very challenging season, with many problems and setbacks, but in the end, we managed to do our job.”
Verona’s supporters have been praised widely by players and coaching staff alike, viewed as a constant presence at the Bentegodi and on the road throughout the tense run-in. Their commitment did not waver, even during stretches where relegation fears loomed, and the stands remained vocal at key moments. This bond has not gone unnoticed within the dressing room, with Suslov’s public message being the latest in a series of acknowledgements from figures inside the club since safety was confirmed.
As the club looks towards the next campaign, the atmosphere cultivated by its fans is seen as a decisive factor in facing high-pressure situations. While adversity shaped much of this season’s story, the relationship between players and supporters provided a reliable foundation. For Suslov and many of his teammates, gratitude towards Hellas faithful appears very much at the forefront as preparations for the summer begin.
