Dani Olmo was once again crucial for FC Barcelona as his goal helped the Blaugranes get a 0-2 victory over Las Palmas in their last La Liga encounter, and thus maintain their lead at the top of the league table.

The Spaniard was once again at his best after having recovered from an injury that had kept him out of action for several weeks only a few days after he was registered with a court order following his deregistration at the end of the last year.

While Olmo has now returned from his injury, the problem of his registration is still not permanently solved as he is registered only due to a precautionary court order.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Barcelona were reminded of this fact by the La Liga President Javier Tebas, who recently appeared in a press event and talked about different aspects of football in Spain.

Talking about the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, the highest league official had some harsh criticism in store for the Blaugranes:

“When I said ‘I hope,’ it was because I expected Barça to solve its problems. Since August, there were four months for Barça to find solutions. There was time and a way to work, but they wanted to solve it hastily in just three days.”

Further commenting on this matter, Tebas went on to say:

“On January 3rd, FC Barcelona provided the guarantees we had requested because the organization did not seem very solvent. The money arrived, then it went to the CSD, which resolved the matter within 24 hours and granted a precautionary measure, raising some doubts.”

“Olmo signed his agreements knowing that he might not be registered in December. He was fully aware that this could happen… Olmo should not finish La Liga with Barça, we have submitted a very clear document.”

These comments from Tebas might worry the decision-makers at Barcelona as Olmo was the only big signing made in the last summer transfer window. Although his continuity has been affected by injuries and registration issues, he has still impressed in his first few months back at the Catalan club.

Hopefully, his registration issue will be permanently solved in the coming months and he will be able to fulfill his dream of writing his name in the Blaugrana club’s history.
