Tottenham must do everything to sign Tyler Dibling | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster their forward department in the January window and they must do everything to sign Tyler Dybling.

Along with adding depth at the back, Spurs should also look to bolster their attacking department.

Tottenham are struggling badly in the Premier League, sitting 15th in the table, and if the results do not improve quickly, they could be in a real problem.

To make matters worse, Spurs will be without Dominic Solanke, who will miss up to six weeks of action due to injury.

The likes of Richarlison, Timo Werner, and even Son Heung-Min have struggled with fitness and form, and a massive rebuild is needed in that area.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham are keen to sign Dibling and they remain in “very concrete talks” with the player’s management.

Spurs are likely to face a lot of competition to sign Dibling, especially from RB Leipzig.

Plettenberg claims that the Bundesliga club “will continue to do everything possible” to sign the 18-year-old, either in the January window or next summer.

Leipzig have got the impression that the young attacker wants to move to Bundesliga, but Spurs can tempt him to stay in the Premier League and continue his rapid rise.

According to the Guardian, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Liverpool are also interested. Any potential suitor will have to pay a handsome fee of around £55 million for his signature.

After coming out from Southampton’s youth academy, he has been outstanding for the Saints in his first season in the Premier League.

The youngster is arguably the only bright spark for Southampton, who are most likely to face relegation this season. He has made 20 appearances (14 starts) in 2024/25 and has scored two goals in the Premier League.

It may seem a big risk to invest heavily in a player who has not even completed his first season in the Premier League, but Dibling has shown great qualities that give the impression that he could be a top player in the future.

Daniel Levy must take the risk and sign him ahead of other clubs. He is currently out injured, but that shouldn’t prevent him from passing his medicals if Spurs manage to reach an agreement with Southampton.

It would be a blockbuster deal for Spurs. The north London club must prepare to offload the likes of Richarlison and Werner in the summer and make room for Dibling, who, like Archie Gray, could be a real star for the club.
