In a transfer twist, notable media outlet Bild in Germany are reporting that long-term Celtic target, Mathias Kvistgaarden, has been offered to Eintracht Frankfurt as a potential replacement for outgoing attacker, Omar Marmoush.
The Egyptian is said to be close joining English Premier League champions Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola looking for fresh blood to ignite a flailing season so far.

The man who has netted 14 goals in the 16 appearances in the Bundesliga this term is hot property and Guardiola obviously feels that the attacker can come straight in and make an impact in the English top flight for City.
£67 million is the reputed figure that it will take for the Citizens to get this one over the line, leaving Frankfurt with an almighty kitty to play around with when he does depart the club.

Now Bild reckon that Danish striker Kvistgaarden, who Brendan Rodgers is an admirer of, could be in the German club’s sights as one who can replace Marmoush when the wide man finally calls time on his career in Frankfurt.
However, the report also stipulates that the Bundesliga side are keen on a deal for Stade Rennais player, Arnaud Kalimuendo, although it also advises that Rennes may be very reluctant to do a deal this winter transfer window and may reject any advances.

It’s still all purely conjecture as to whether or not Celtic plan on making a concrete bid for Kvistgaarden once again, as any potential deal for the Brondby star would depend entirely on Kyogo departing. By the sound of it though, Kyogo will be staying put for now – at least until the end of the season – unless something drastic happens in the meantime.
With that being said, a move for the Dane would be unlikely under the current circumstances.
