Ansu Fati is going through a decisive moment in his career at Barcelona. At 22 years of age, the forward, a product of La Masia, has not managed to establish himself in the first-team setup, largely due to injuries that stalled his progress at key moments.
The lack of playing time this season has raised concerns both within the club and among the player’s entourage.
As such, everything points towards a summer departure being the best solution for Ansu to regain his confidence and revive his career.
Now, according to Fichajes, several teams are monitoring Ansu Fati’s situation, and Portugal appears as a very likely destination, with both FC Porto and Sporting CP have demonstrated serious interest in acquiring his services.

In the case of Porto, the idea would be to replicate the success they have had with Samu Omorodion, betting on young talents with the potential to relaunch their careers.
Meanwhile, Sporting CP are seeking to strengthen their attack in anticipation of Viktor Gyokeres’ imminent departure, viewing Ansu as an attractive option to fill that vacancy.
Barcelona, for their part, are willing to facilitate Ansu’s departure, preferably on a permanent deal considering his high wages and a contract that runs until 2027.
At this stage of his career, Ansu needs minutes, continuity, and an environment where he can rediscover the joy in his game, factors that currently seem difficult to find within the Barça squad.
The Portuguese league, with its competitiveness and European exposure, presents itself as a viable option for the Barcelona starlet to revive his stuttering career.
