Leeds United Under-21s will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League 2 as they welcome West Ham United Under-21s to the LNER Community Stadium, in Monday’s 7pm clash.

After going three PL2 matches without a victory, the Whites roared back to winning ways last time out with an impressive 3-1 success away at Everton.

Rhys Chadwick’s impressive run of form continued when the midfielder put Scott Gardner’s side ahead inside the opening seconds, before a good finish from Cian Coleman extended the lead with just eight minutes on the clock.

Chadwick grabbed his second, the midfielder’s ninth of a strong season to date, before the hour mark, with the hosts scoring a consolation from the penalty spot late on.

That result lifts United up to 16th in the league standings, just three points adrift of 12th-placed West Ham United.

Similarly, the Hammers had found form hard to come by in the competition, but were victorious last time out as Joshua Ajala’s second half goal proved the difference for Mark Robson’s team against Sunderland.

Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
