Ruben Dias has assured that the City squad know the importance of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League after the slender 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Callum Hudson-Odoi's late goal secured three precious points for third-placed Forest at the City Ground, taking them four points ahead of Pep Guardiola's men.
City struck the post in the first half through Nico, before seeing strikes off target from Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Mateo Kovacic on a frustrating afternoon in the Nottingham sunshine.
Dias, who captained the team, has declared that the team need to keep pushing and working hard for the final 10 league matches to secure Champions League qualification for the 15th season in succession.
"Well, we’re not going to be thinking about ifs and maybes. We know our target. It is very clear," said Dias in his post-match interview.
THANK YOU: Dias applauds the travelling fans at the City Ground.
"And we have got to push, we have got to push and we have to do our best.
"We’re not used to playing every week as well, but that is a different challenge for us.
"But we need to make it."
Guardiola's men face fellow European chasers Brighton and Hove Albion next weekend, along with clashes against other European contenders Aston Villa, Fulham and Bournemouth before the end of the campaign.
