Since his arrival at FC Barcelona, Hansi Flick has once again catapulted himself to the summit of European football, after having conquered everything during his time at Bayern Munich.
With the Blaugrana team, he is still in contention for all the titles, and with the way his team is playing, it would be easy to bet one’s money on the Catalans to win several major trophies at the end of the season.
Naturally, the German tactician has also got a lot of credit for his good work at Barcelona, and as SPORT has reported, the latest to speak highly of the Blaugrana coach was Joachim Löw, the former German national team coach who led his team to the World Cup win in 2014, and who has already worked with Flick.
Thus, Löw knows the current Barcelona coach very well, and was quite clear that he is the best person for the Catalan team as he appeared in a recent interview:
“If anyone fits very well with Barça, it’s Hansi Flick. I know him well because we worked together for eight years. We’ve always had a close relationship, marked by respect and mutual trust. I know how Hansi thinks, how he acts, and how he works.”
Löw highlighted one particular aspect of Flick’s coaching as his main strength: “He also works on communication with the players who are in the background. This is his strength. It’s incredible. He is very competent on a footballing level.”
While the Barcelona coach has already proven his management credentials, Löw was clear that he is also a great tactician: “He is a good tactician and has a very deep understanding of football.”

Furthermore, the World Cup-winning coach also spoke very highly of Barcelona as a club and their youth academy:
“A bit different, they focus on development and have a strong connection with the youth academy. When you look at it over the years: Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol… I could name many more. Now Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, and many others.”
Low also had a bit of clear advice for coaches throughout the world: “My advice for many clubs and many coaches would be to spend two weeks in Barcelona and visit the academy. Listen to what they do and why they do it.”
Hansi Flick has already proven his capabilities to the Barcelona fans, but these words from Joachim Löw will further enhance their confidence in the German coach. Hopefully, Flick will live up to Löw’s words, and lead the Blaugrana team to a few trophies this season.
