West Ham United will look to finalize a deal with RB Leipzig for André Silva, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The forward is now West Ham’s number one target this transfer window after numerous failed offers for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.
The Hammers are already in advanced talks with Silva and now just need to agree upon financial terms with Leipzig.
Should the Silva deal fall through, West Ham are also in contact with Brian Brobbey of Ajax. However, no agreement has been reached yet – the full focus remains on Silva and Leipzig.
RB trainer Marco Rose has found some use for Silva this season, lending him 15 appearances across all competitions. Silva converted a penalty in a match-day 13 win over Kiel.
Silva’s move from Eintracht Frankfurt to the Saxon capital reportedly cost RB some €23m. The attacker’s failure to thrive at his current club has seen his estimated market value drop from a peak of €45m in 2021 to €5m today, as per TransferMarkt.
