Things truly have come full circle for Everton and David Moyes.

The Scotsman's first ever Merseyside derby resulted in a 1-0 win back in December 2004, with former England caretaker boss Lee Carsley providing the only goal of the game.

His opposite number in the dugout was Rafa Benítez, while Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard were still in the starting XI for Liverpool.

Tonight will be Moyes 23rd derby in charge of the Toffees, and it does feel fitting that he is back in charge of the club just in time for the final ever game between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park.
