FC Barcelona have played against their arch-rivals Real Madrid three times this season, and in all of these occasions, the Blaugranes have emerged as the victorious team.
Two of these victories have directly brought a title to the Catalan team, as they beat the Merengues both in the final of the Spanish Super Cup and then in the final of the Copa del Rey.
There is still an El Clásico in La Liga to be played in a few days, which can prove to be decisive for the league race, but there has already been quite a lot of drama with the two sides involved.
The latest episode in this dramatic rivalry was the comments made by a former Real Madrid doctor, Niko Mihic, who commented on the trend among Barcelona players to play with their wrists bandaged. In this regard, the former head of Real Madrid medical services said:
“It could be that they’re designing strategy games, playing a lot of foosball and the tendinitis… just like it could be that they didn’t bribe Negreira… I don’t know what’s going on, but what I mean is that any doctor knows that if you want easier venous access, it’s in the hands and wrists.”
With these comments, the Croatian doctor hinted at some possible foul play by the Blaugranes to provide their players a physical boost.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, one Barcelona player, Pau Victor, responded to these statements on social media, as he did not write any words but only made three emoticons of laughing faces to indicate how ridiculous such an insinuation was.
Pau Victor has been playing with his hand and wrist bandages since his time as a youth player at Girona. Thus, it is easy to understand why he wanted to respond to the doctor despite not being a very active social media poster otherwise.
Other than him, players like Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Gavi have all been seen playing with their wrists or hands covered with bandages this season.
