Al-Hilal ‘close’ to agreement for Bruno Fernandes | OneFootball

Al-Hilal believe they are ‘close’ to reaching an agreement to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, according to Ben Jacobs. The Saudi Pro League side want a decision from the Portuguese playmaker – who is currently deliberating with his family – by Friday.

Although Al-Hilal have made no official approach to sign Fernandes, they ‘believe a sale will be sanctioned’ once the player asks to leave Manchester United. However, a stumbling block is that the Premier League side insist that they don’t want to sell their captain, who scored 19 goals and provided 20 assists in 57 games across all competitions last season.

In a reply to a tweet, Jacobs added that Fernandes’ impending move to Al-Hilal is now down to a family decision with the personal terms being offered not an issue.

This news comes hours after Manchester United announced the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves after activating the player’s £62.5m release clause. The Brazilian has signed a five-year deal with the club until 20230 with the option to extend by another year.
