Al-Hilal in talks with Manchester United target Victor Osimhen | OneFootball

Napoli loanee Victor Osimhen (26) has entered into talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, according to Foot Mercato. The Nigerian international has had a tremendous campaign with Türkish Süper Lig giants Galatasaray. The Istanbul-based outfit has been crowned champions with Osimhen playing an instrumental role in the title. The former Lille OSC centre-forward has logged 36 goals and 8 assists in 40 games played in all competitions for Galatasaray.

Osimhen was reportedly part of a four-man shortlist – with Liam Delap, Moïse Kean and Victor Gyökeres – to bolster Manchester United’s ailing attack. It is no secret by now that the Red Devils intend to cut their losses on Rasmus Højlund following his €74m switch from Atalanta Bergamo two years ago. However, Foot Mercato understands that Osimhen hasn’t heard anything from Manchester United’s top brass. The Nigerian international is reportedly eager to see his future sorted out, given he has already said he would not return to his parent club Napoli.

Al-Hilal intend to seize the opportunity to lure Osimhen into their fold. The Riyadh-based side have offered Osimhen a very lucrative contract. Talks between Al-Hilal and Osimhen are underway and even progressing.
