Alain Roche: "It's going to be an extraordinary atmosphere" | OneFootball

Ahead of the meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, our PSG Legends tell us about their fondest memories of the big games and their connection with the fans. Alain Roche, a Parisian from 1992 to 1998, gives us his perspective.

Alain, how do you feel about the support of PSG fans?

'You know they're always there. No matter the weather, the match, the results... the fans are always there. And it's undeniable what their support brings to important matches, especially major European fixtures. They generate incredible excitement around the club, and there's a euphoria that builds up around these big Champions League matches. And we know that on Wednesday night it's going to be an extraordinary atmosphere.'

How does it feel to be a player, playing in an atmosphere like that?

'It's a great source of motivation and excitement, because we know we're going to be playing a big game and that the atmosphere will be amazing. There's a different kind of enthusiasm, a motivation that's increased tenfold by the crowd.'
