Another key Barcelona star agrees contract renewal | OneFootball

Another leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has agreed, in principle, to a new contract with the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Jules Koundé as the player in question.

Defender Koundé has for his part of course played a starring role for Barcelona across the season to date.

One of the first names on the team sheet of boss Hansi Flick, the Frenchman has racked up 43 appearances across all competitions.

Not only that, but, along the way, Koundé has chipped in with three goals and a hefty eight assists.

Those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou, in turn, recently moved to open negotiations with the player and his entourage, over the terms of a new contract.

And, as alluded to above, such talks look set to bear imminent fruit.

As per a report from Sport:

‘We can tell you that today there is an agreement in principle almost closed between Barça and Koundé for the Barça player to remain until 2030.’
