The Anfield outfit are currently 1-0 down from the first game in north London a month ago.

And they will have to complete a turnaround on Merseyside tomorrow without their in-form right back, who has suffered a thigh injury.

"He is going to miss tomorrow and we have to see if he can play Sunday but he is not available tomorrow," Slot said.

"I think you saw he left the pitch with a bit of a pain in his leg, so that is why he misses tomorrow. He is already on the pitch with the rehab coach, let's see how long it takes."

With Alexander-Arnold missing, it means that Conor Bradley is likely to replace the England international in defence.

"He (Bradley) played against Spurs back then too," Slot said

"Every game and session there is something to learn and if not, it wasn't a good session from me. I think we played PSV a good game with the team who hardly ever played and we did concede three goals.

"It's something on the feedback we gave. He wasn't involved in every goal but he was in one in my opinion. He wasn't aggressive enough which led to the third goal."

Slot also commented on the club's lack of action in the transfer market with Liverpool being one of the few clubs without any in or outgoings.

"Maybe there aren't many managers with as good as squad as I have? The players have shown the trust we have in them was correct.

"We don't many injuries, long-term injuries. We did have some with Alisson, Hota, others but other than Trent they are all ready today so no reason to add to the team unless there's a chance in the market. We saw that with the goalkeeper we brought in."
