Arsenal are said to be in “concrete talks” with RB Leipzig over striker Benjamin Sesko.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenburg say sporting directors Marcel Schäfer and Andrea Berta are in contact about a deal for the 21-year-old, who has scored 21 goals in 45 games in all competitions this season.

The report adds that the the release clause for the Slovenia international stands at €80 million.

Arsenal also hold interest in Victor Gyokeres of Sporting CP, however. The Athletic say Arsenal are yet to decide which of Sesko and Gyokeres are their preferred target.

The Athletic also report that Florian Wirtz’s preferred choice of club if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen would be Liverpool, despite the attention of Bayern Munich.

Elsewhere, according to L’Equipe, Manchester United are one of a number of clubs hoping to sign Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, while maintaining an interest in Sporting’s Gyokeres.

Sport Bild say that Bayern Munich are looking to take Brighton’s Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma to the Bundesliga, with a fee of around £40 million enough to potentially force the move. This may be a bargain with Al Nassr supposedly having a bit of £75 million rejected in January for the master dribbler.

Victor Osimhen is rumoured to be engaging in talks with Al Hilal, as the Saudi Arabian club make him their number one target, according to Footmercato. Manchester United also retain an interest in the Napoli player, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.

Real Madrid face the tricky task of replacing the departing Luka Modric this Summer. AS says they retain an interest in Manchester City midfielder Rodri, who would cost upwards of €100 million, but that Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández and Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller are also drawing interest from the Spanish side.
