Arsenal face Fulham in the Premier League this evening aiming to close the gap on leaders Liverpool.
The Gunners can move within nine points of Liverpool with a win at the Emirates, after entering the international break following a 1-0 win over Chelsea. Mikel Arteta’s side will want to build momentum ahead of a huge Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid next week.
Arsenal take on a Fulham side who endured a disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the weekend. However, Fulham are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Arsenal, including a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is ‘ready to go’ in a huge boost. The winger has not featured since sustaining a hamstring injury in December but will be in the squad tomorrow evening. Saka has 10 assists in the Premier League this season, with only Mohamed Salah having managed more. That return comes despite Saka having not featured in over three months.
Saka’s return boosts a forward line that is still without Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. Neither player will feature again this season, so Mikel Merino could again deputise at centre-forward.
Arteta also revealed on Monday that Riccardo Calafiori is facing ‘weeks’ out with a knee injury picked up during the international break. Jurrien Timber is fit after illness.
Arsenal predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Merino, Martinelli.
Arsenal host Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday April 1st 2025. Kick-off is 19:45 BST.
This match is not being televised in the UK.
