The winter transfer window closed with Alexander Isak still at Newcastle United, and while there wasn’t much speculation about a move in January, reports suggest PSG and other clubs could make a stronger push this summer.
RMC Sport previously reported that PSG considered a swap deal involving Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio to bring Isak to Paris.
Liverpool are also keeping an eye on the Swedish striker. According to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the club has already opened talks with his representatives. The Reds are reportedly preparing a significant bid and might even stray from their usual transfer approach to land the 25-year-old.
Newcastle has reportedly set Isak’s price at €180 million (£150 million), which would make him Liverpool’s most expensive signing, surpassing the £85 million they paid for Darwin Nunez in 2022.
Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are interested in Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali and could also make a move for Isak.

Despite the rumors of many Premier League clubs keen on Isak, Arsenal are looking at another target, who they feel is more attainable. According to The Athletic, Arsenal is monitoring Viktor Gyokeres closely and could make a move for the Sporting CP striker this summer.
New sporting director Andrea Berta is a big fan of the 26-year-old, who is seen as a more realistic target than Isak. While Gyokeres is under contract with Sporting until 2028, his price tag is expected to be significantly lower than Isak’s, who could cost more than £120 million.
