The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have identified two leading members of the attacking ranks at Monaco as potential signings for next season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Eliesse Ben Seghir and Magnes Akliouche as the pair in question.
It is of course common knowledge at this point that Barcelona are on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third with a view to next season.
Specifically, the Blaugrana are keen to add fresh blood to Hansi Flick’s squad out wide.
As things stand, the favourites to make their way to Catalunya’s capital with a view to the 2025/26 campaign are Premier League pair Luis Díaz, and Marcus Rashford.
In the case of deals proving too difficult to come by, though, a list of alternative options has also been drawn up.
That’s according to the aforementioned MD, who have confirmed:
‘Other, more affordable names are emerging. The two most recent are Monaco wingers Eliesse Ben Seghir, a right-footed player who plays as a left winger and is a 20-year-old Moroccan international, and Magnes Akliouche, a 23-year-old right-winger and French international.’
According to transfermarkt, Ben Seghir is vauled around the €30 million mark, with Akliouche likely to demand a sum closer to €40 million.
