There is no doubt that the FC Barcelona attacking trio of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha has performed at a very high level this season, and has been one of the best frontlines in Europe.

However, the Blaugranes are still looking to reinforce their attack in the upcoming summer transfer window and have been linked with several players in the last few months.

Barcelona interested in two English forwards

According to TBR Football, two players whom the Catalans are seeing with particular interest at this point in time to reinforce their attack are Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

Their report claims that Barcelona are also interested in the signing of the Canadian centre-forward Jonathan David, who is one of the candidates to be the long-term replacement of Robert Lewandowski in the Blaugrana squad.

However, in addition to the Canadian forward, the Catalans are also looking to bring reinforcements for the wide areas. For this purpose, they have shown an interest in the English duo, while also keeping Rafael Leao and Nico Williams on their radar.

Rashford impresses with Aston Villa, Greenwood with Marseille

Marcus Rashford joined Aston Villa in January on loan and has been quite impressive with Unai Emery’s side. The Villans have the option to buy him permanently for £40 million, but the player himself favors a move to Barcelona this summer. On their part, the Blaugranes like the forward for his versatility and ability to play both on the wing and in the centre.

Meanwhile, the Catalans are also keeping an eye on Rashford’s former teammate, Mason Greenwood, whose goal tally in Ligue 1 this season has been inferior only to that of Ousmane Dembele.

The Red Devils sold the winger to Marseille last year for £26.6 million, but kept a 50% sell-on clause and a buyback option on him. Atletico Madrid are also keen on Greenwood, and the forward has also received interest from the Premier League, but a move to Spain is more likely for him.

There is no doubt that both of these players would prove to be quality additions for this Barcelona squad, but it remains to be seen which player the Catalans ultimately opt for.
