Ansu Fati appears all set to bring an end to his tenure at FC Barcelona with tomorrow’s La Liga clash against Athletic Club expected to be his final one.
The 22-year-old La Masia forward was seen as the future of the team when he broke into the senior setup as a teenager.
Injuries and recurring physical problems, however, meant that he has been unable to live up to the potential.
Having failed to feature much under Hansi Flick this season, Ansu is now set to be on the move in the summer, with AS Monaco set to be his next destination.
It was earlier suggested that Ansu might be joining Monaco on a loan deal with a purchase option.
But according to the latest update from Fabrizio Romano, it appears that the La Masia graduate could be set for a permanent departure.

In fact, the update from the Italian journalist even states that the two clubs are negotiating a fee for the Spanish forward with the figure said to be lower than €20 million.
In addition, Barcelona will have an important future sell-on clause inserted so as to profit if the youngster rediscovers his mojo in Ligue 1.
Ansu, for his part, has already accepted in principle that he will join Monaco in the summer and is keen on the move.
It now appears to be only a matter of the two clubs coming to an agreement over the finer details of the operation before the young attacker moves on from his boyhood club in hope of reviving his stagnated career.
