Since his arrival at the Catalan club, Hansi Flick has shown a propensity to take an all-encompassing approach to ensure his team is playing at the highest level. For this purpose, he not only pays close attention to his tactics, strategy, and physical preparation, but also to the well-being and motivation of the players.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, another example of this latter aspect of the German coach’s management is how he is redesigning the Barcelona first team’s changing rooms at the Ciutat Esportiva.

The report claims that these changing rooms are now decorated with motivational quotes from some of the most well-known sporting personalities, like Michael Jordan. This move is aimed at fostering competitiveness, more demanding behavior, and enhanced team spirit.

These messages are printed on vinyl, and many of these quotes are in English. Flick will be hoping these messages will help the team internalise the principles he wants to see in his players and which will help them become stronger and more competitive.

Hopefully, this will be the case, and these motivational messages will certainly be needed as the wear and tear sets in from such a hectic schedule at this tail end of the season.
