FC Barcelona got into the current international break in style as they beat Atletico Madrid with a 2-4 scoreline despite trailing the Colchoneros on the scoreboard by 2 goals in the 70th minute.
There is no doubt that this win over one of their direct rivals for the La Liga title can end up having a significant impact on the tight league race.
However, the Blaugranes face a challenging return to action, as their postponed match against Osasuna is now set to be played on March 27, immediately after the international break.
In fact, two Barcelona players are not expected to be available for this game if they play the second match for their respective national teams in this break, i.e., Raphinha and Ronald Araujo.
There are still some chances that Araujo will be able to return to his club in time to get back in action for the game against Osasuna.
However, Raphinha’s chances of participating in this game are even slimmer now. One way that the Brazilian winger could have played in this game was by getting a yellow card in the game against Colombia, which would have meant a suspension for the upcoming game against Argentina, and he would have returned to Barcelona early from international duties.
But, as SPORT has reported, this did not happen in last night’s clash between Brazil and Colombia, in which Raphinha was key for his team to get a victory.
The Blaugrana winger scored a penalty and got an assist for the second goal scored by Vinicius Junior, but as he was not booked, he will be particularly keen to play in the upcoming match against Argentina, as the Superclasico is one of the biggest games in the world of football.
Undoubtedly, most Brazilian fans will be counting on him to make a difference against their eternal rivals, and hopefully, he will put in a memorable performance in such a big game. But as things stand, his participation in the match between Barcelona and Osasuna is highly unlikely.
