One of the most striking scenes at the end of Saturday’s match between Barcelona and Real Betis was the angry reaction of winger Raphinha.
Neither his manager, Hansi Flick, nor teammates such as Robert Lewandowski or Marc-Andre ter Stegen were able to calm the Brazilian, who was angry not only about the draw, but also over an incident he believed should have resulted in a corner.
Not only did the assistant referee fail to award it, but he also addressed Raphinha in a manner the player found unacceptable.
“You don’t tell me to shut up!” Raphinha shouted several times at one of referee Gil Manzano’s assistants.
Raphinha left the stadium visibly upset, with his outburst being one of the major talking points after the game. However, as it emerged, the Brazilian will not face any sanctions for it.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, as time passed, Raphinha recognised that even if he felt justified, his behaviour was not appropriate. The Barcelona winger is now eager to move on and regain attention for his performances on the pitch.

Since his recent international duty with Brazil, where he had already stirred tensions with Argentine fans, Raphinha has been in the spotlight more for off-field incidents than his football.
Upon his return, and due to the physical toll of playing for the national team, Raphinha has only started once, in the match against Atletico Madrid.
Flick decided to rest him against Betis, with Wednesday’s Champions League encounter against Borussia Dortmund in mind.
Now, the Brazilian winger is focused on making his presence felt on the pitch once more and continuing to earn recognition for a potential Ballon d’Or nomination.
Barcelona will need Raphinha at his best to compete for the three titles they are still pursuing, and and the former Leeds United winger is determined to rise to the challenge and help lead his team to success.
